Our team was tasked with designing a new website and providing a custom CMS, meeting our client’s unique needs as a human-centered banking portal. We collaborated with WPCCU’s project manager and other key stakeholders, including their visual designer who provided a general style guide and brand resources from recent marketing collateral. Design Objective: Provide a modern, refreshed look to reflect WPCCU’s capabilities, future vision, and new brand. The website should be ADA compliant and have a superior mobile experience, intuitive navigation, polished page content, and allow for flexible layouts and extensive use of video.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Through wireframing and low-fidelity mockups, we developed a new and intuitive site navigation experience. Login, Search, Hours &amp; Locations stay visible in the top. The mega menu is divided into relatable categories that reflect WPCCU’s focus on “human-centered” banking. The design allows large groups of links to be displayed without overwhelming visitors. This was also a good opportunity to add space for potential ads or other graphics into different categories where desired. We also added a breadcrumb navigation for deeper levels of content so members could easily understand where they were within the site.</image:caption>

Our challenge was to create a simple editorial-style website for a newly launched campaign promoting the revolution of Chardonnay wines, featuring collections from several Jackson Family wineries. My Role: Lead designer working alongside our development team Design Objectives: Create a similar aesthetic to a Wine Spectator advertorial provided by the client: Clean, modern, white background, with mostly watercolor sketches in lieu of photographs. Develop an intuitive user experience for an interactive timeline with multiple layers of categorized content.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>We presented two concepts with corresponding low-fidelity mockups for a regional map. An interactive version would zoom in and out of different highlighted areas and show relevant content as you navigate the map. The complex interactions were doable but would take a bit longer to build. As the client’s vision and content for the map evolved, we developed a simplified solution with several static maps that still achieved a sense of interactivity and were easy to explore.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>My solution to navigating through a lot of content on a single page involved creating strategic layers of secondary navigation and content. The Winemakers section in particular includes a video, biography, and wines for each individual. I designed a row of shortcuts to each wine maker to allow the user to jump ahead, but if the user chooses to just browse through all winemakers, it is easy to see where you are on the page. Each winemaker has an an area to expand for more bio details, along with a link to their winery. You can play the video inside the website. The interactive elements for each winemaker subtly mimic the a rolling wave to reinforce the essence of the campaign.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I joined Naturebox in 2012 as the company’s second hire, in charge of all design-related responsibilities in addition to wearing many other hats that an early-stage startup requires. As our nimble e-commerce company grew to a team of over 100, we evolved our subscription box business model from monthly curated selections to fully customizable boxes. Our goal was to revolutionize snacking and reinvent the way people get healthy groceries! Our website expanded from a simple shopping cart to a complex user interface allowing members to manage multiple accounts, filter products, write reviews, and edit their upcoming boxes. My role in relation to the website was to dream big with the idea of customization by brainstorming possibilities, develop user flows, wireframes, and eventually polished high fidelity designs. I led company-wide design presentations and worked closely with our engineering team on a daily basis.</image:caption>
